The sector recorded a 2.5% year-on-year increase, adding around $41 million in export value, reflecting its ability to maintain a positive growth path despite global market volatility and ongoing logistics challenges.
Monthly performance showed some variation during the quarter. Exports reached $531 million in January, before rising to $601 million in February, the strongest monthly performance of the period. In March, exports stood at around $550 million.
This performance highlights the growing competitiveness of Egyptian food products in global markets, supported by a diversified production base and increasing demand for value-added food products.
The results also underline the strategic importance of the food industry within Egypt’s export structure, given its role in generating foreign currency, expanding market access, and supporting the broader national economy.
